“I am Randy Cunningham, I am… the ninja!”
-Randy Cunningham
Hello everyone! My name is CheeseFM, and welcome to my brand new character blog series! This is my first time doing this so I'm a bit excited.
BEFORE WE (i) BEGIN
Usually, talking about what's usable or not it's a pain in the ass, but thankfully Randy isn't the case, i will be counting for this blog: The show; The flash games; Creator statements
The flash games are not contradictory to the show, in fact, most follow the same formula as the show. Normal day, big monster attacks/someone gets stanked, Randy saves the day. So there isn't really a reason for not including them.
BACKGROUND
800 Years ago, an evil sorcerer was about to gain full control of the dark arts, gaining a strength so big that it would be able to manipulate space time itself, and even take over the universe! But thankfully, a family of ninjas named ‘The Norisu Nine’ got in the way to stop him. After a long and difficult fight, there remained only one ninja alive, which sealed the great evil sorcerer in the depths of the city. Although that didn't stop there, he knew that the sorcerer could still affect people even when sealed, so, it made it his life mission to be the guardian of his city, and thus, the legend of the ninja began.
Every 4 years a new ninja is chosen, its given the ninja mask and the ninjanomicon, magical artifacts created by The Norisu Nine before dying to aid the ninja, this was passed generation through generation, there being countless ninjas all over history, like the ninja of 85’ McAntfee, and the ninja of 05’!.
Eventually, ‘The Creep’, the person that is the sole responsible of giving the Ninja Mask and the Ninjanomicon to the next ninja, was informed by the nomicon itself about a new potential ninja, a kid with a pure heart and a willpower never seen before in ninja history! So, he waited until the kid turned into a teen, entering Norrisville High as a freshman, setting the 4 years that he would be the new ninja. He left the ninja mask and the Ninjanomicon in his room, declaring him as the new ninja of norrisville. This kid, was Randy Cunningham.
Randall “Randy” Cunningham, student of Norrisville High, was chosen as the new ninja, this led to countless adventures for him, where he would have to learn every day how to be a better ninja, although that would not be an easy task at all.
Along his time as the Ninja he had to go through lots of problems: Robots, Monsters, Robot Monsters, Evil version of his schoolmate, two ancient sorcerers, a kraven wannabe, a mad scientist, a rich ceo, a mad scientist but dead, zombies, demonic entities. You name it and you can bet he kicked their ass!
He also achieved stuff that no other ninja ever did before! Like reaching the Ninja Rage state, defeating a prior ninja and turning him to the Nomicon, save Norrisville and the world, and even end with the 800 year curse of The Sorcerer!
In the end, Randy showed again and again, even with his mistakes, that not only was he the best option to be the ninja, but also the best one there ever was!, so worry not, because if there's danger nearby, you know damn well it's Ninja-O-Clock!
“Smoke bomb!”
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Randy has shown to have an amazing skill, being able to overcome any situation at hand! This shows due to the insane amount of enemies that he had to fight, as i mentioned in the backstory section, he has gone through ANYTHING!, other examples are that he was able to win against enemies that regenerate, non corporeal entities, a bot that everytime it loses it adapts to whatever killed him last time, a giant video game character controlled by his friend Howard, HIMSELF! (three times in fact) and the list goes on and on!, even including stuff like escaping islands and abandoned factories.
He also has access to the Ninjanomicon, a book that has 800 years of Ninja wisdom! Filled to the brim with tips and tricks, from countless generations over time too!.
Thanks to all this Randy is also an incredibly skilled fighter, although more in the “street smart” type of fighting. That doesn't mean he can't make a plan on the go, since he was also able to do that, but it's just that his style is more “im gonna kill this thing fast with my sword” rather than “i'm gonna analyze and find the best way to overcome this” at the start, but he can slowly adapt to it.
ARSENAL
Ninja Sword
Possibly one of the best weapons that randy has (and his favorite). The ninja sword is the main weapon of the ninja, forged specifically for him. It has been shown that it will cut through literally anything, the only thing it can't cut through is “stupid” (so using it recklessly).
The ninja sword also can deflect any projectile, even ones that are made of electricity and energy.
It has been shown that its resistant to fire and heat as a whole, since Randy many times set it on fire and even dipped it on lava once.
The ninja sword, even if sometimes referred to as a katana, it's actually a Ninjatō, which is thought to be a traditional ninja weapon.
It's worth noticing that, although it can cut through mostly anything, and it's only weakness is randy being a dumbass when using it, the ninja sword can still break if the enemy is really strong, like how the sorcerer broke it.
Double Ninja Sword
Sometimes Randy has shown to be able to dual two swords at once. These swords, although not the same as the Ninja Sword, have a similar design to the first Ninja Sword Randy had before it broke.
There's surprisingly not a lot I could say here, he just duals two swords, that's cool i guess.
Ninja Balls
Ninja Balls are (aside from being one of the most iconic parts of Randy’s arsenal) a set of throwable balls, each one with a different effect. Surprisingly, he has a lot of them, so I'm gonna list every single one and their use!
Smoke Bomb: THE most well known item randy has, it's been in nearly every single episode!. As the name says, it's a smoke bomb that randy can use to appear in different places as well as leaving. It seems that sometimes it also works as a teleport, since in many cases there was no way Randy could have just been there ro being with, but at the same time it seems like he can also just cancel said teleport if he wants… It's weird. Also they smell horrible, but Randy got used to it. He can also use them offensively to stun enemies!.
Cold Balls: Used by the ninja in various moments, these balls can freeze stuff instantly upon contact, even to the point that it can create huge ice chunks in where the enemy is solidly frozen! It's also shown in games that these balls are perfect against any type of heat based attack, since it can set fire away easily.
Hot balls: As opposites of the Cold Balls, the Hot Balls can burn up anything it touches, setting them on a fire so strong that it even melts metal!, as well as the Cold Balls, the games have shown that it's perfect against anything cold related, since it can unfreeze stuff instantly.
Electro Balls: Also known as the most inconsistent ball in design, the Electro Balls cause an extremely high wave of electric power that will shock whatever it touches, it was so strong that it could make robots explode!. If it misses, it causes a huge thunder.
Boom Balls: It's one of the simpler balls, it's just a projectile that on contact after being thrown causes a big explosion, it's also the most basic of all the balls since it's literally the first projectile you get in most of the games besides the ninja rings.
Bee Balls: Oh my ninjas not the bees… anyways, the Bee Ball it's a projectile that in it summons a swarm of bees which attack the enemy… if they feel like it. Most of the time they even choose to go after Randy instead of the villain. i honking hate bees
Fetching Balls: The death of any dog themed character, Randy can use this against the Chainsaw Werewolves of Viceroy, and since they are, well, kinda dogs, they will go fetch it, the thing is that they explode. Poor wolve :(. Anyways this probably works the same way with any dog themed character.
Flash Balls: Heh. This ball when it's thrown causes a huge flash that makes the enemy blind for some seconds, essentially, just a flashbang.
Glowing Balls: Similar to the Flash Balls, the Glowing Balls emit a bright light that, instead of blinding enemies, it works more for letting Randy see in dark places.
Gut-buster Ball: Instead of having a cool power/ability like the others, this ball grows some spikes and its intended to ABSOLUTELY DESTROY YOUR HONKING GUTS. Randy was gonna use it, but it backfired horribly.
Hoarking Balls: Why does Randy have so many vomit options?... Anyways, the Hoarking Balls work by contact, when the ball hits the opponent it makes him vomit, and it works on robots, somehow. He could also be doing this with pressure points, but since it's its own ball with a specific work, I will land more on the side that the ball just makes you vomit. I said ball many times.
Running Water Sound Effect Balls: The name is really specific for this one to be honest. It just makes a running water sound effect to distract the enemy, that's it, that's all.
Shnasty Balls: as disgusting as it sounds, the Shnasty Balls have the ability to leave a disgusting green goo. Ew.
Slipping Balls: One of the weapons that land more on the defensive/strategic side, the Slipping Balls leave a slippery orange liquid on impact, which can make anyone that steps on it lose control and fall.
Tripping Balls: Very similar to the Slipping Balls, the Tripping Balls when throwed instantly multiply into smaller marbles that are used to make the enemy trip and fall, simple enough.
Tiny Giant Exploding Balls: Size doesnt matter… dont be fooled by this tiny ball, it may look like nothing, but it makes a giant explosion! It mostly relies on the enemy don't really expecting it
Sticky Balls: Even if gross, the Sticky Balls have the effect to stick anyone or anything into any surface using a yellow glutinous substance.
Expanding Balls: INFLATION!!!!!!!!. When someone or something is hit with the Expanding Ball it will literally INFLATE/EXPAND until it EXPLODES.
It's worth mentioning that he can even use this without his Ninja Suit.
Ninja Chain Blade
The ninja chain blade is, well, as its name states, a blade attached to a chain. This weapon was only briefly used in “Pranks for Nothing” to save Julian and Flute girl from the prank bots. He also used it to grab a Robo-Ape climbing into McFist’s jet in “Bash Johnson: 11th Grade Ninja”.
This is one of Randy’s many long range weapons.
Ninja Chain Sickle
The Ninja chain sickle is (surprisingly) the second most used weapon by randy, only being beaten by the ninja sword itself (It's also the second weapon to appear in the intro)
It has a spearhead-like part on one end and the other end is a small black and red sickle. Randy can throw the sickle to act somewhat like his Ninja Scarf to wrap around the opponent to pull them down. The Ninja can also throw the sickle in order to slice an enemy.
Randy tends to use this on enemies way bigger than him.
This weapon gets destroyed or broken really often.
Ninja Dual Blade
The Ninja Dual Blade is a collapsible, multi-bladed weapon that made its debut in the episode “Escape from detention island”, in which Randy didn’t use it since it was too confusing for him. Later down the “Ninja-Bot” was actually able to use it, showing it was a strong weapon in the… Well, not so right hands on that occasion. Although, due to the fact that it imposes a big danger to the user because of the activation button, which if touched again in the wrong moment can cut you up in pieces like how it happened to the “Ninja-Bot”, it's probable that Randy really doesnt wanna use it, and to be honest, i don't judge him, i would be scared too.
Ninja Eskrima
The Ninja Eskrima is a weapon only used two times, he used it to both block and attack. It's probably based on “Eskrima”, a filipino martial art which even if it uses different weapons like the Baraw (a type of knife) and the Bolo (a type of machete), it's best known for its stick fighting skills.
Ninja Expanding Baton
The Ninja Expanding Baton is a weapon that consists of a collapsible baton which with the touch of a button can expand (like Goku’s power pole!), It can even expand two times in a row, growing way larger.
It was only used once, in the episode “Wave Slayers” where he used it against a stanked “Buttermaker” to prevent his bite and escape the grasp of its tail.
Ninja Kaginawa
The Ninja Kaginawa is a type of weapon resembling a grappling hook used by Randy, he usually uses it to grab onto things, climb, etc.
The Kaginawa is a tool used in feudal japan by the samurais, their retainers, and reportedly, Ninjas. Kaginawas have several configurations, from one to four hooks. The Kagi would be attached to a nawa for varying length, and then it's used to scale rather large walls.
Randy was shown to be able to use two at the same time in the episode “Wave Slayers”.
Ninja Kamas
The Ninja Kamas are weapons that resemble small Scythes, which he can attach and throw, he only used this two times.
The Kama is a traditional Japanese farming implement similar to a Sickle or Billhook used for reaping crops and also employed as a weapon. It is often included in weapon training segments of martial arts.
Ninja Knife Sickle
The Ninja Knife Sickle is a weapon only used once by Randy, in the episode “So U Think U Can Stank” to destroy Juggo’s tricycle.
Its two hand held weapons with a hook blade attached to a retractable chain, letting him use it in both short and long range.
Ninja Manrikigusari
The Ninja Manrikigusari is a weapon used by both Randy and The First Ninja. They’re a set of twin sticks linked together on a segmented chain blade which can stretch up to great lengths, even attacking from long distances, or they can be reconnected at the base for a pair of short stick Billy Clubs in battle as well.
The Manriki-gusari is a chain weapon originating in Japan. It is weighted on both ends, and is useful in heavy strikes, limb and joint locks or trapping weapons.
Ninja Ring
The Ninja Rings are disc-shaped weapons that Randy uses as Shurikens. It has a blade that curves around it, making the exterior circle.
Unlike shurikens, the Ninja Ring can actually bounce on stuff.
These are affected by the Ninja’s transformations, gaining special characteristics when used, like being set on fire when Randy is on Ninja Rage mode, or being frozen solid when on Ninja COLD Rage.
They bear a striking resemblance to an Indian weapon called “Chakram”.
Randy has a honking amount of them.
Ninja Sai
The Ninja Sai is a weapon that Randy uses for both defense and offense, though unlike most of his weapons, the Sai is for stabbing rather than slashing. It's sharp enough to stab through robots and even its the weapon randy used to destroy the eye of eternity two times (first one being by accident).
He can also just throw a lot of them like projectiles.
They are perfect for roasting marshmallows :D
Ninja Spikes
The Ninja Spikes is a weapon that Randy can make appear both on its hands (wolverine style) and feet. They can be used in an offensive manner like punching or kicking with the spikes still on (ouch). This is also a useful tool if randy wants to climb something, sneak or even avoid people.
Ninja Stick
The Ninja Stick is a weapon that Randy used from time to time, using it mostly in a mix of offensive and defensive attacks.
It mostly resembles a Bo Staff, which is a traditional Okinawan martial arts weapon, it's also the most popular of wooden staff used in current martial arts training.
Oh my donatellos
Ninja Tonfa
The Ninja Tonfa is a set of two weapons which he used… one time. He used it in “So U Think U Can Stank” to break Theresa's batons.
They are based in the ancient Chinese martial art Guai, which centers around the use of the tonfa.
Ninja Hand Drill
May your drill pierce the sky!!!!
(It's not that good, it's just a regular hand drill.)
Ninja Ukelele
Good for apologies.
Ninja Stalling Wedge
Perfect to stop a door from opening!
Ninja Candelabra
What the juice
Blade of Deception
The Blade of Deception it's a metaphorical weapon given to Randy by the Nomicon. It gives you the ability to lie.
It's unknown if that's true or false.
Ninja Suit
Literally the most important part of the ninja, its suit!. It was made by the Norisu Nine, mixing it with the magic of the tengu by using its feathers in the creation of the mask.
The suit let's Randy do a lot of stuff, mostly giving him access to a big part of its arsenal. It resists the Stank of The Sorcerer, making him unable to get Stankified when on the suit, and even making him more resistant to the corruption of the Chaos Pearls. Its stated by Randy himself that the suit lets him do stuff he would never be able to, meaning that the suit amps him.
Even though it's mostly used by the ninja, anyone that wears the mask can access the suit.
It has been shown that the suit has regeneration for itself, meaning that no matter how many times it gets destroyed, it will always regen back to normal.
The suit also has the Ninja Scarf, which Randy used a lot of times in various ways, showing to be able to be a very good tool for him. He used it like:
A whip
Grappling Hook
Lasso
Blindfold
Parachute
As a normal scarf
He can also make people barf with it, hitting specific pressure points.
Beacon of hope
Used in the game “Randy Cunningham: Punchademic”, it's a weapon used by both Randy and Howard. When it's fully set up and listed on fire it emits a large wave of energy (or fire) that completely destroys every monster around instantly. It even affects digital beings, which The Sorcerer bringed into life with its stank.
1-UPs!
Oh my marios
In the game “Randy Cunningham - Punchademic” Randy gains access to various game-like items thanks to The Sorcerer turning Norrisville into a game. In this one, Randy can come back from the dead with the help of an always trusty 1-UP!. They seem to not be exactly from the game world tough, since the items are strictly Ninja related, having him as the icon.
HP Up
As stated before, thanks to what The Sorcerer did, Randy gained access to game-like items. This one heals Randy of any damage he could have gotten!. He can also heal with nachos. Schweet.
Coins
Me like money :]
Howard’s Stuff
In the game “Ninja Sprint” Randy can grab random items mid fight, said items are: The bologna Howard uses as a sword in “Monster Drill”, Howard’s beats from “30 Seconds To Math”, the nachos Randy and Howard fought for from “Monster Dump” and the McFistpad from “Raiders Of The Lost Nomicon”. After grabbing any of them, Howard magically appears and throws a bunch of Boom Balls, this could also count as summoning.
Jet Ski
Just a regular Jet Ski that Randy has for himself, idk it looks cool i guess.
Lucius O’Thunderpunch Suit
The Lucius O’ThunderPunch suit was built by Viceroy for McFist with the purpose of upstaging the ninja. Even though it was first used by McFist, Randy eventually used it against the Ninja-Bot in the episode “Bro Money Bro Problems”. The suit now stays at Gene’s shop, but since Randy knows where that is, and it's in good terms with Gene, he would be able to use it again if needed to.
The suit comes with a lot of perks and abilities, which are:
Flight Mode: In its first appearance it used a Jetpack on its back, but it was later changed to Rocket Boots.
Fist Cannons: The suit can shoot its fists as missiles and replace the lost ones with new ones.
Heat/Laser Vision: The suit can shoot purple lasers from the eyes, it was used to weld the “Ninja of the year” plaque to its chest.
Ice Beam: A beam of ice used off screen, it froze a flame-thrower robot.
Super Strength: It amps the strength of those who use it, and, since Randy is using it, it means that it amps his suit even to a larger extent, making him have 2 amps at the same time, the ninja suit and the lucius suit.
Invulnerability: The suit sustained no damage after being hit with its own missiles, and even not having a single scratch after being sliced several times with the Ninja Dual Blade.
Heads-Up Display: It feeds information to the user and tells him its different functions available within the suit. It can lock on things that the user focuses on, and it can even perform video calls!.
Fixing Grenade: The suit has a grenade that somehow fixes a destroyed car.
Karaoke mode: it has built in speakers and disco lights, hell yeah.
T-Shirt Cannon: it shoots shirts.
Meteor Stopper: Yes, it has the infamous rocket that destroyed the meteorite that was about to destroy Norrisville, and Randy even used it in his fight with the Ninja-Bot!.
Chaos pearl (debatable)
This is a tricky one, but I will explain if it's usable or not more later on this blog.
So, Randy got hold of a Chaos Pearl and used its powers, since the Chaos Pearl’s powers arent something unique for every user and more like, a set of hax that anyone that grabs it can use, Randy should have access to the abilities he used AND the stuff that other users of the Chaos Pearl did with it, this includes:
Ninjanomicon
The Ninjanomicon, also referred just as Nomicon, it's the magic book made by the Norisu Nine in order to guide the ninjas into being great ones, holding literally “within its covers are the answers to any question a budding ninja ever wanted to know (but was afraid to ask)”. The nomicon usually gives Randy hints on what to do, all the time via riddles that Randy has to understand in order to save the day.
It's shown that it holds the consciousness of the first ninja, but it also implies that there are multiple consciousnesses inside of it, all of them which help randy.
The book, thanks to its magical features, holds a world inside of it, one that is essentially infinite, with multiple evidence of this, like how we never really see a limit of it, always having never ending holes, huge forests, etc. Also because it holds actual Greek decorations both inside and outside, which all represent “Infinity”, “the eternal flow of things”, “eternity” and “unity”, meaning that 3 of the 4 meanings behind the decorations actually represent infinity. It's worth mentioning that it even has a door that leads to the real world, which was acknowledged by one of the creators, so it's not only a gag, but legit.
Thanks to said magical features, the Nomicon can perform various abilities, most wich Randy himself can use in its favor in a fight, the abilities are:
BFR: When the inside is seen, the nomicon absorbs your consciousness and teleports you to its realm, even if you don't want to go there.
Reality Warping: Both Randy and The Nomicon have been shown to be able to warp reality, the latter doing it on a higher scale, like making endless holes, whole forests, a city, etc. All in seconds.
Power Bestowal and possible Unlimited Power: Inside of the nomicon The Ninja can add himself any power if he tries, like how MacAntfee showed to be able to gain suddenly a lot of powers, like the comet rush, making weapons come out of nowhere, adding himself extra limbs, etc. This is also backed up by how he mentions that “Anything is possible inside of the nomicon”
Mind Wipe: Inside of the nomicon there exists a room called “The Ultimate Lesson”, it's where the ninja goes after 4 years are completed and have to leave the mask. The person that enters this room gets every memory that it had about the ninja completely wiped. Nomicon can also do this without the need of BFR, since he did it to debbie kang on its own. It's also worth mentioning that the mind wipe CAN be absolute, since when it happened to Randy he didn't know who he was, where he was and who anyone was.
Mind Swap/Steal: The Nomicon in the episode “Schloomp! There It Is!” created a sentient being who took over Randy’s body, he did this as to teach him a lesson, since randy in that episode started to do anything with the help of the nomicon (even asking him if he should shower that day). The sentient being took over Randy’s Body, meaning that the Nomicon can just create another being to take over the body of the enemy Randy is fighting if necessary. In the same episode we saw that Randy himself can even do this, taking over the body of Howard so he could fight against NomiRandy and get its body back. Also, NomiRandy is kinda sick with it damn.
Advices: I don't really know how to name this so uhh yeah, basically, the Nomicon can help Randy via making text appear, which is invisible for everyone except himself. These texts can appear both in real world and his mind, for example, the nomicon helping randy wake up via reality warping a soda machine to make him realize what to do.
Immortality: The Nomicon has shown to be able to maintain people alive for even 800 years, the biggest example being the first ninja who lived inside of the Nomicon for 800 years, the Nomicon achieves this by absorbing the consciousness of the target. Although, if they can leave or not it's debatable, but it's probable that, due to being consciousness, whoever is inside of the Nomicon can just use a body as a vessel. Therefore, if the Nomicon wants to, he can keep Randy alive forever inside of the Nomicon.
Sealing (Most likely conceptual): The Nomicon has 2 methods of sealing, the first one is linked to immortality, absorbing the consciousness of the rival and keeping him inside of the pages, like he did with plop plop. The second one is better, in the episode “Let The Wonk One In” it's shown that the Nomicon can seal stuff in little statues resembling idols, this sealing is so strong that it can seal the Halloweenja, which is the literal essence of terror.
Clairvoyance: the Nomicon seems to be able to know the future, since in a lot of episodes he warns Randy of events that didn't even happen yet. He tells Randy this through his lessons.
HAX
Superhuman Characteristics
Thanks to the Ninja Suit, Randy gained WAY more strength and speed, as i mentioned before with Randy stating that “the suit let him do things that he would be never capable of”.
This includes strength, speed, durability, and even acrobatics! Since he just becomes a god at parkour when he's in the suit, and can even wall run.
Willpower
Also one of the main reasons he was chosen as the new ninja, Randy has a HUGE willpower, greater than ANY other ninja before him, for example when he was the sole responsible for the first ninja to not give up when he went to the past. This willpower is so big that it even lets him survive corruption and mind hax as a whole! Or well, Resist it. More on this on the resistances section.
Super Senses
Why did he gain them like that???
In the episode “Best Buds”, Randy and Howard get in a food tasting competition, so, to win, Randy manages to gain super senses by the Nomicon, at first he didn't had any control over them, his senses being so sharp that it hurt and disgust him, like, he could see in a detailed close up the popping of a pimple, hear the scrapping of a tongue with a fork, see soundwaves and even be able to see each individual wing beats of a bumblebee! Later on he manages to grab full control of his senses, being able to choose which one to enhance to whatever degree he wanted, even to the point of being able to determine how many days an article of clothing has been worn without changing and block attacks without needing to open his eyes.
This also lets him see anything way slower, for example the bumblebee mentioned earlier, and dodge/block way faster. This is essentially just Randy’s ultra instinct lmao.
Hammerspace
Something that happens a lot in the show is Randy just pulling stuff out of nowhere, even him being surprised the first time he manages to do this. This also seems like he can just create a lot of them, although, it has been shown that the amount of things he can bring up again and again is limited, since he can run out of them, like how he ran out of smoke bombs.
Non Physical Interaction
Randy has been shown to be able to interact with non physical stuff, like pushing the Nomicon’s words, hitting the Grave Puncher projection. The Nomicons words have been shown to be actually real and that only Randy can see them, and not only that, but it's also shown in the episode “Wonkin’ for the weekend” that it's also potentially abstract, since when Randy enters the Abstract realm that represents Howard’s mind, Howard was able to touch the Nomicon words.
Also, since all Ninjas should have the same type of abilities, he should also have N.P.I due to the first ninja actually defeating the tengu, which is literally a demonic spirit.
Underwater Breathing
In the episode “Wave Slayers” we see that Randy, when in the suit, is capable of being underwater and breathing, and even talking.
Yeah that's about it.
Earth Attack / Regeneration Negation
Friday-ning my funkins rn.
No, I will not rhyme for this section.
Using his rap abilities, he can rhyme to activate the Earth Attack, which lets him create and manipulate Earth as he pleases, even being able to create beings that seem to have life, but always try to save him/defend him from danger.
With this he was able to create a giant sand worm which ate whoever was mean to Randy, Sand ninjas that he named the Sandjas, which helped him in battle, and even Mud Balls that he used as projectiles!. (He did this in a made up story, but it's probable that he can do this anyways)
In a strong hurricane-like attack, he was able to morph the Sandjas to turn them into, well, that, a hurricane. This hurricane was so strong that it cut the sand worm into pieces so small that it couldn't regenerate again!.
Hydro Hand
One of the first ninja techniques that Randy learned without any trouble, even off screen, since we never really see him achieve it.
This ability lets Randy shoot a hand, similar to the air fist, that is made purely of water, which is so strong that it was able to stop and turn off a Tengu FireBall.
It’s also been shown that Randy can just freeze it instantly on impact (as seen in the gif), although, this could be also because of the cold day.
Air Fist
God he looks so bruce
This ability is one of the most used by Randy, and it shows! The Air Fist, as the name implies, makes an fist of air that is used as a projectile, which he used both offensively and defensively. It's so strong that it's even able to destroy rock and metal.
Randy manages to be more creative with it though, since he also used it like an actual hand to try to stop a bus, and even as an air blast! This was done when the sorcerer grabbed him with the Red Stank.
Art of Stealth
Like any good ninja, Randy managed to master the art of stealth! This lets him be able to mix in the background to the point he becomes quite literally invisible!, There's nothing much to it, but it's cool!
Art of Escape
Although it just looks like arts and crafts, the Nomicon did teach him it as an ability, so I'm counting it.
In the episode “Grave Puncher: The Movie!” When needing a way to escape Howard’s house, Randy asked Nomicon for help, who showed him the “Art of Escape”, an ability that lets him make a dummy identical to him that gives Randy enough time to escape the situation.
Howard kinda fucked up his.
Art of Disguise
The bane of any barber, the “Art of Disguise” is an ability Randy learns in the episode “Secret Stache”, its shown that it works via focusing his “ninja energy” (whatever that means) into growing his hair, but, if he loses control, the energy will go wild, making hair to grow uncontrollably. Randy can actually use this to fight!.
He can use this without moving since it only requires his focus.
It's also probable that, due to how the Nomicon explains Randy the ability with a man’s face constantly changing all his features, the “Art of Disguise” can also modify his body features, achieving shapeshifting!.
Art of Healing
One of the most versatile hax he has, how? Well, Randy learned the “Art of Healing” in the episode “Dawn Of The Driscoll”, in which we see that he can resurrect the dead, although, not regenerate their skin, like how happened to Jerry Driscoll who was just a living skeleton.
Later on we see in the episode “Silent Punch, Deadly Punch“ that he can also use it on plant life, speeding up their growing process drastically! (As seen in gif)
And finally, in the episode “Brolateral Damage“, we can see that it even works on destroyed objects!, fully repairing them back to normal even if sliced a lot of times.
He can probably use this in both himself and his arsenal, since the idea of him not being able to is kinda stupid.
Death Manipulation
In the same episode that he learned the “Art of Healing”, at the end, he needs a way to suck the life out of Jerry Driscoll, so, he asks the Nomicon for help.
We don't really know how he did this, but we do know that it’s a really fast process, since it only took him seconds to do so!.
There's also the fact that it could be just another thing the “Art of Healing” can do, but i believe it isn't, mostly because the whole ability goes around the idea of healing, only being shown to do that, and also because right before he does it he just asks the Nomicon opening it.
4th Wall Awareness
Surprisingly, Randy actually broke the 4th wall a lot of times, even if via talking directly to the camera. Or even just, being actors???
It's also worth mentioning that, not only does Randy have a door to real life, but he's also kinda… real? Since he did some bill cipher shit and responded to actual people through the official Randy Cunningham 9th Grade Ninja Tumblr account and even has his own twitter account. He’s just a really good 4th wall breaker I guess.
Ninja Pukin’ Poke
Randy why do you have like 3 ways to make people barf? Seriously.
Anyways, as the name implies, Randy can touch the stomach of a person in a specific order to produce vomit! Gross.
This is probably just him using pressure points, but he only uses them to make people barf.
Acausality
Didn't expect this huh?
Well basically, when randy went back in time, his actions had such an effect on the timeline that he changed history. The first ninja didn't die and his conscience became one with the Nomicon, The Sorcerer got a whole new look, the Chaos Pearls are scattered all around Norrisville, EVERYTHING changed… except Randy, he was unchanged by his own actions on history, meaning that somehow, Randy is unaffected by changes in the timeline, even better cause he himself did one.
Mind Manipulation/Dimensional Travel
In the episode “Wonkin’ for the weekend” when Smart Howard made a black hole, and Howard spoke in his head, Randy deduced that if howard could be in his head, then HE could be in howards head, and so, he hit his head with Howard’s and accesed some sort of weird abstract mindscape.
Now, i have some… questions about this, yeah, its mind hax, 100%, but, as the wiki states, this seems to be more like an abstract realm that only represents Howard's mind, which makes sense, since inside of it Howard is able to see and interact with the words of the Nomicon, things that are essentially abstract and non physical. Also, Randy gets attacked by the number pi, lmao.
Possible Flight, Telepathy and Invisibility
This one is pretty simple, since these are abilities that we know Randy can learn I will count them.
In the episode “The Dawn Of Driscoll”, when Randy learns the Art of Healing, he enters the “temple of forbidden knowledge of the shadow warrior“, in where there's a lot of Ninja abilities to learn, but, we only know of other three aside from healing, being “Art of Flying”, “Art of Invisibility” and “Art of Telepathy”, wich, even if not learnt, we can still count for research values.
This could, as the names implies, let Randy fly, have invisibility and Telepathy.
TRANSFORMATIONS
Ninja rage
THE FLAMES OF DISASTER!!! 🔥🔥🔥🗣🗣🗣
After defeating the Tengu and becoming one, Randy earned something that no other ninja ever achieved, the state where the ninja and tengu become one, Randy unlocked, The Ninja Rage.
In this state Randy’s suit reverses its colors, changing the black parts for red, and red for black. This also affects his face, since it turns all black and his eyes glow red.
Due to the link it has with the Tengu, this transformation gives Randy a whole new set of abilities all centered around fire.
This transformation gives Randy:
Fire Manipulation: Randy’s main ability from this form is his total manipulation over fire, being able to engulf himself in flames and move them. This said manipulation includes…
Tengu Fireball: The most iconic attack from this form, the tengu fireball is, as the name implies, a fireball that Randy can create. He can make it from either hand and even merge multiple fireballs into one to make an even larger and stronger one!. This attack has been shown to be so hot that it can blast through solid metal, burn down a whole tree easily, cook a large flood of batter that flooded most of the school in a single hit in seconds, etc. It's also so strong that it can DISINTEGRATE its target to the level IT DOESN'T LEAVE NOTHING.
Heat Emission: it's called aura bruh. When in this mode, the Ninja Suit can increase the temperature around him in seconds, it turning so hot that it could easily melt a giant spider-web.
Weapon Augmentation: This mode lets the ninja turn anything into a weapon! Yeah, anything!, for example, using the energy of the Ninja Rage he was able to turn a normal keytar into a musical flame thrower!, it also affects his own arsenal, since he has shown to be able to set his Ninja Sword on fire.
Ninja COLD rage
In the flash games, after Randy saved the Nomicon from the Sorcerer stank, he was gifted a new transformation, similar to the ninja rage, but changing its vibrant red to a water-like blue. This was the Ninja Cold Rage, a variant of the normal ninja rage that focuses on ice instead of fire.
Since the Ninja Cold Rage it's just a variant of the normal Ninja Rage, it's safe to assume it haves the same set of abilities, which include:
Ice Manipulation
Cold Emission
Halloweenja
In the episode “Let The Wonk One In” we see that Randy can access the literal essence of terror, the Halloweenja.
The Halloweenja was sealed in an idol before Randy set him free, after that, it merged with the Ninja Suit and gave Randy the ability to transmute and corrupt anything he wants into a horror version of itself, working in both living beings and objects.
This transmutation appears to be layered, since it was able to fully corrupt and transform the Ninja Suit into its own vessel, which has been shown to be resistant to both corruption and transmutation.
Although, Randy would probably not use it again, since he had to already go through the consequences of setting it free.
RESISTANCES
Mind Manipulation: Thanks to the Ninja Suit and his willpower, mind manipulation is not effective.
Mind Wipe: Although affected by it, the Ninjanomicon can just force Randy to remember everything in seconds, coming back from an absolute mind wipe.
Empathic Manipulation: in the episode “Sorcerer In Love”, the sorceress haves a ability to make boys fall in love with her, that kinda worked on Randy, but he snapped out of it, being able to avoid the manipulation (mostly by blindfolding himself)
Transmutation: Thanks to the Ninja Suit Randy is totally immune to The Sorcerer’s stank, which transmutes people into evil monsters.
Corruption: He was able to have a Chaos Pearl barehanded, although he did get a bit corrupted, this was because he took his guard down and let himself go bonkers with the power, tho, it's shown that he can also snap out of the corruption of the Chaos Pearl.
Dream Manipulation: In the episode “Ninja-ception” we see that the Chaos Pearls can manipulate the dreams of people to try and corrupt them, trapping them in a loop of dreams, but Randy was able to wake himself up, escaping the loop.
Fire and Heat Manipulation: Thanks to the Ninja Rage we can see that in this state Randy is totally unharmed by flames and heat, since he can engulf himself in fire and heat up his body to an extreme degree without seeming to be harmed.
Cold and Ice Manipulation: For the same reasons as the Ninja Rage, the Ninja Cold Rage should let Randy be unaffected by cold temperatures and ice attacks.
SUMMONS/HELP
Howard Weinerman/The Tengu.
As shown by the episodes “Evil Spirit Week” and “Randy Cunningham: 13th Century Ninja”, the Tengu is an evil demonic spirit which is linked with the ninja due to the mask being made of its feathers. Although the tengu IS evil, Randy can still manipulate it to his will.
The Tengu will possess whoever is near, in both occasions he did that being Howard.
The Tengu under Randy’s control can fight alongside him at the very same time, mimicking his moves and even techniques, since it can also achieve the Ninja Rage when Randy does it.
To use him, Randy has to destroy the eye of eternity, which doesn't sound so weird since he has done it before to fight. And howard it's always near him anyways.
It's also worth mentioning that Howard is capable of using the Chaos Pearls without being corrupted whatsoever.
The Nomicon/The other ninjas.
To no one's surprise, Randy has the help of the Nomicon. This isn't something new since the Nomicon itself has helped Randy without him needing to tell him anything, all to keep the legend of the ninja still alive.
The Nomicon can BFR anyone inside of him and aid Randy in combat. It can show itself in the form of a giant samurai or even a dragon.
Inside of the pages live the conscience of the first ninja and potentially the other ninjas, which can also appear physically. This shows that if needed, the First Ninja could appear to fight alongside Randy inside of the Nomicon.

Bill Cipher
Oh my ninjas…
WEAKNESSES
Surprisingly, there are only 2 weaknesses (no, losing the mask isn't a weakness, i'll explain it better in the next section) the first one being that he's… kinda dumb? I mean, he's not DUMB, he has shown to be actually good at math and have a good battle IQ, but he's just a bit too secure of himself, sometimes underestimating the enemies, causing the problem to go worse.
If he abuses the power of the ninja he will lose them.
There's also the fact that hes really scared of chickens, but he can fight his fears so… 50% a weakness????
EXPLANATIONS
Multiversal AND Inf speed Randy!?
Yeah… I'm going to be real, when I first started this blog I didn't really believe this, but after doing proper research… yeah it does make quite a bit of sense, let me explain.
First of, cosmology, we know thanks to secrets of the nine that the RC9GN Verse has a multiversal cosmology, this due to existing 9 realms aside from our universe, one of them being the Land of Shadows.
“But cheese, a realm isn't a universe necessarily”
I know that pretty well, the thing is… realms in the RC9GN-Verse are just, straight up universes, we know this thanks to the fact that the other time that the word realm was used it was to talk about our universe, as the Ninjanomicon calls it “the realm of the ninja”. This means that canonically, the universes in the RC9GN are called “realms”.
Now, about the multi feats, at first it was only Jerry’s feat, which i didn't know if to buy, but after thinking, and due to the fact the cosmology is multiversal… yeah, it makes sense. Jerry Driscoll was smarter than Viceroy, who was able to actually update the Doomsday Device to a universal scale, so, nothing really tells us that Jerry… can’t, since he's superior to Viceroy.
And then came that piece of info that opened the gates, since it seemed that the chaos pearls actually had connections from the nine realm, meaning their power comes from them, linked to the realms itself. Oh and The Sorcerer just outright absorbed them.
This level of cosmic stuff is shockingly consistent, going from planetary to multi a lot of times, even with canonical mentions and actual feats.
So, what do I think? Well, the evidence is there, it's a big leap from uni + to multiversal, but I do buy it, since it's been shown that it's actually possible. Therefore, Randy Cunningham is multiversal. (At least for me)
Now, for infinite speed, it's actually easy. In the game “Enter The Ninjanomicon”, The Sorcerer is able to Stank the Ninjanomicon from both outside and inside, spreading all its info all over the world, causing randy to be abstract, and even causing huge meteors to go from side to side. This is Inf Speed because the Ninjanomicon is essentially an infinite space that's ever expanding due to how the legacy of the ninja works.
The sorcerer has a Red Stank which is just a version of the normal Stank that takes more energy and focus to realize due to being better. Not only was this Red Stank about to open the Ninjanomicon with pure strength, but also Randy outran it.
The huge mask misconception
I wanted to talk about this since it's like the backbone of every Randy debate out there.
No, if Randy loses his mask that's not an instant loss. He still has access to every hax that doesn't involve the suit, and even to his arsenal, which obviously includes the Nomicon.
Destroying it also doesn't work, since its been shown that due to the connection it has with the Tengu, the mask can't be destroyed, as it will always regenerate. And not even the mask alone, no, the whole suit has been destroyed multiple times, only to be repaired as soon as Randy takes off the mask and puts it on again.
So basically, taking his mask away doesn't work, since he still has access to most of his best hax, and destroying it is useless since it can just reappear again.
Randy using Chaos Pearls
This is a more tricky one, I personally believe that it's… debatable. He does have access to them since he has the key to open the Sorcerer’s prison, where he sealed them so no one could use them again, but logically speaking, he wouldn't use them unless it's specifically needed, and even then he would hesitate a lot.
However, Howard is able to use them without the risk of being corrupted, so that gives more chances of Randy deciding to take them.
But, for the sake of vs and research, I counted them as part of his arsenal, since we can still make him use them for debates.
